Hamlet Film Trailer

This trailer is a very short commercial clip in a part of Hamlet where "If it be now, ’tis not to come. If it be not to come, it will be now. If it be not now, yet it will come—the readiness is all" (Act 5, Scene 2)  is being recited by a narrator. It is set up where two different fencers are about to face off. There is debris on the ground that starts to rise up in slow motion while there are shots of the two people's masks, gloves, and swords until  the music increases and the two people start to run at eachother. It then blacks out and " is all" is said while "Hamlet" appears on the screen. I chose this trailer because it is a different interpretation than I was seeing for others. The sound effects that add to the debris rising as if it is being sucked up and a gust of wind right before they fight to add intensity to the trailer. The camera shots vary from close ups to wide view and are slow motion and regualr speed. This, as well, intensifies the trailer as it plays with the viewer's eye. Right before the two people run at eachother the sound gets louder and higher which adds to the climax for this commercial because it dramatizes not only what the viewer is seeing, but hearing as well. The intended audience for this trailer would be the less traditional Shakespeare readers. Eventhough the narration is the traditional Shakespeare script, the images that the viewer is seeing aren't and the graphics/soundtrack they use are modern uses of film making so it draws in a younger audience too.
